Experience life in a 1st century village and visit Sepphoris where Jesus and his friends may have worked.

The political atmosphere
Arbel ,Mount of Beatitudes, Chorazim, Gamla. Learn something of the turbulent times in which Jesus lived and his call for a radically different lifestyle

Day 4
On the sea
Sail on Galilee and visit Capernaum to learn about the role of the sea and fishing in the life and teaching of Jesus

Day 5
Who do people say that I am?
Banias, Golan Heights, Dan, Katzrim. Reflect on Jesus’ self understanding at a pagan shrine and against the backdrop of the altar of Jeroboam at Dan study the nature of true kingship.

Day 6
Going up to Jerusalem
Walk up the ‘broad way’ of a Greco-Roman city, Beth Shean and take in the view from the Mount of Transfiguration on our way ‘up’ to Jerusalem

Day 7
City of David to Son of David
Take in the sweep of this city from the past to the present.

Day 8
Jesus, the Temple and the sectarians
Climb the steps that Jesus would have used to enter the Temple and walk on a pavement laid down by Herod. Experience the world of the Dead Sea Sect.

Day 9
The Suffering Servant
The Garden Tomb and Yad VaShem are both scenes at which we can explore the role of suffering in the purposes of God
